We are Augustus and Lene’ Whitt and together with our four daughters we run Whitt’s End Cattle Depot.

Welcome to Whitt’s End!

Between all the ladies in the house, and the ladies in the pasture, you could say Mr. Whitt is at his “Whitt’s End!” So, we thought, what a great name for our family’s place. We started with 2 cows and 2 pigs back in 2016 and have grown our homestead from there. Now, you can catch us running yearlings and pairs up on 3,000 acres in Lost Springs-population 6-where we milk dairy cows and goats. And there is still more to do! We also spend our time building up the feed yard in the pasture, running our farmstand Thursday thru Monday, riding in the arena and if we aren’t herding cattle, we are wranglin’ up our own kids! … I guess you could say the whole family is at our “Whitt’s End”, but we wouldn’t change a thing!

Family is everything to us. We have 4 beautiful daughters, and we love having the girls along with us for the ride. They aren’t shy when it comes to hard work, and they sure can keep up! From milking cows, feeding in the feed yard, collecting eggs, pitching hay, or just riding in the truck, you can count on at least one of the girls helping us out with the chores. This way of living hasn’t just taught them responsibility and dedication, but has opened their minds to life’s cycle, teamwork and a family bond thicker than steel. Without them, we would be missing an important part of why we do what we do, and why we love what we do!

In our neck of the fields, we still do things the old-fashioned way - on horseback. We rope, ride, brand and gather all on horseback. In 2021, we moved to our current home and started building a large arena. With this, we hope to host rodeos, roping lessons, 4h events and more! We want to share part of our life and fun with the community.

If you haven’t been out to the property, come on out and visit our farmstand! We have a variety of beef, pork, milk, eggs, bread, ice creams, soaps, honey, towels, jams, treats and the list goes on!
