MUTTON BUSTIN!
We are hosting Mutton Bustin for kiddos this summer. We still have a few dates left to ride. There is a buckle for the year end winner.
You can sign up at the door to just ride for the day, or enter the series and compete for the buckle.
Horseback Riding Lessons
Have you ever wanted to learn what it takes to care for a horse? Our lessons start from the ground up. We start by grooming, saddling, and riding. You will learn the basics of riding, seat position, safety and more.
Goat Roping/ Team Ropings
We will start hosting roping’s this year. Test out your roping skills on foot with goat roping, or bring your horse and rope some calves!
We will offer kids goat tail tying for those who aren’t as skilled for roping.
Arena Riding/ Camping
Need a place to practice? Our arena is open to the public. Please call ahead to make sure an event is not scheduled. We do offer RV parking as well. Panels available if you need to stall your horse. Electric hooks ups coming soon. Porta-potties on site.
Dairy Milking
COMING SOON! Once our new parlor is built, we will be offering dairy tours! Come help us milk our cows and goats!
Calf Branding
COMING SOON! We will be branding bottle calves. We will have 3 man teams per 3 calves. Each person will get a chance to brand, vaccinate, place an ear tag, and hold the calf (front and rear).
PUMPKIN PATCH/ FALL FESTIVAL
Starting the last weekend of September though October, we will be hosting the first annual pumpkin patch! We will be updating the website and our facebook with more details as we get closer!
Starting at 2pm Saturday and Sunday
Goat Tail Ribbon Pull (ages 1-4) FREE
We will tie a small ribbon on the back of baby goat. Your kiddo will run to the baby goats and grab the ribbon and bring it back to the judge. These goats are sweet and friendly! *We may have 2 rounds if there are enough small kiddos who want to participate
Sheep Ribbon Pull (Ages 5-10) FREE
We will tie a small ribbon on each sheep. Your kiddo will run to the sheep and grab the ribbon off and bring it back to the judge. 1st one back wins! Sheep are fast! Get your running shoes on! *You may get knocked down or stepped on*
Calf Ribbon Pull (Ages 10-14) FREE
We will tie a small ribbon on each calf. Your kiddo will run to the calves, grab the ribbon and bring it back to the judge. 1st one back wins! Calves are fast and may kick. These calves average 100-300#.
Calf Ribbon Pull (Ages 14-18) FREE
We will tie a small ribbon on each calf. Your kiddo will run to the calves, grab the ribbon and bring it back to the judge. 1st one back wins! Calves are fast and may kick. These calves average 300-500#.
CALF SCRAMBLE - $5 entry WITH PAYBACK
3 roping steers (with horns) will have a colored ribbon on them. The first 3 people to bring back a ribbon will win 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
PAYBACK 1st- 40% of the pot, 2nd - 20% of the pot, 3rd -10% of the pot
*We will split into 2 age groups if there are enough signed up.
SO YOU THINK YOU CAN COWBOY? $25/ Team
3 Man teams. Luck of the draw for your calf. Calves will be numbered. Sort your calf out, brand (chalk) your calf. And get your calf to the middle pen. Ropes will be available. 6 minute time limit.
PAYBACK 1st- 40% of the pot, 2nd - 20% of the pot, 3rd -10% of the pot
MUTTON BUSTIN – Not to start before 5pm $20/ride
Limited to riders 3-8 years old and UNDER 60 pounds.
Helmets and vests are required & provided – Long sleeve shirts and pants recommended. Close toed shoes required. Hold on tight and ride as long as you can! Time starts when the sheep comes out and ends with the child falls off.
*Buckle to end of day high point rider.
*Series buckle given to rider who rides each weekend with the highest overall score. (Please contact us for more information)
GOAT ROPING $10/entry (after Mutton Bustin)
Straight draw. Enter up to 5 times. Rope till you miss! Last team standing wins. 50% payback.
